It makes no sense.

This is an MSI Z170A SLI PLUS motherboard with an Intel i5-7400 processor, cooler and fan and the I/O plate, I bought it this morning from marketplace for the grand sum of $45 and in some respects, technology like this at prices like that make no sense at all.

It amazes me that with the unreasonable Windows 11 technical requirements, hardware like this, which has tremendous utility, is considered almost worthless on the open market. Intel's 7th-generation processors, like this i5-7400, aren't supported by Windows 11 because Microsoft is cutting off Windows 10 extended support very soon, panic-selling of perfectly good hardware has flooded the market, driving prices into the dirt and this was had for the cost of two pints and a burger.

What can I do with it? - well that is a good question actually as I have several motherboards from around this era now, all of which are fully working and could make a great office machine, a home server or a reasonable gaming machine, which of course I already have, so buying this at $45 is just adding to my stash in the garage, so not only does it make no sense that technology like this sells for prices like this, it also make no sense that old tech geezers like me buy technology like this for prices like this.
